The marketing campaign staffer who accused outstanding conservative chief Matt Schlapp of groping him sued a conservative fundraiser Tuesday over statements made on Twitter after he got here ahead along with his allegations.
In line with the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court docket for Washington D.C., Caroline Wren, a prime Trump marketing campaign fundraiser from 2020 who was concerned in planning the rally on the Ellipse earlier than the Jan. 6 riot, tweeted “false and defamatory” statements about Schlapp’s accuser after the Each day Beast first reported the allegations in opposition to Schlapp.
Wren claimed the staffer was “fired from a number of campaigns for mendacity and unethical conduct” and “for being a ordinary liar,” based on the go well with.

The plaintiff accused Schlapp, the chairman of the American Conservative Union, of groping him when he was a staffer for Herschel Walker when Walker was working for the Senate in Georgia. The staffer sued Schlapp and his spouse, Mercedes Schlapp, for $9.4 million.
