Can I see the video remotely?

With the Moorebot Scout App you can monitor your home from anywhere in the world with up to 1080P image quality on Android and IOS devices. Two-way speech is also supported. Scout must be set up on your home Wi-Fi network to enable this feature.

How do I charge? How long does Scout work before it needs to be charged?

Scout requires a USB 2.0 Type A adapter with 5V / >2A output. Scout is not compatible with USB Type-C fast chargers. The battery lasts over 2 hours, 1 hour with night vision and takes up to 3 hours to charge from a fully discharged state.

How do I set up a patrol?

Scout does not scan and create a map for privacy reasons. It follows a pre-programmed path through the user using the Scout app. The open space has a higher chance of completing the patrol. If there are too many obstacles, the bot might give up and try to return to the charger.

What can’t I connect to WiFi

When you first turn it on, the bot will be in WiFi Direct mode. You should see a “robot_scout_xxx” WiFi hotspot. Connect with the password “r0123456”. Perform a reset if it doesn’t work. IOS users need to give Scout app permission and enable Airplane mode.

What are the navigation restrictions?

Update to the latest firmware. These Mecanum wheels are fun but have a few downsides. There is a way to convert to the track version using a 3D printer. The mechanics files are loaded on this detail page in the download area.
