After one week of being trapped in the rubble of a constructing decimated in Turkey’s earthquake, a girl was miraculously rescued and carried to security Monday, new video shows.
Footage of the rescue shows the second the kid, recognized as Miray by Turkey’s transport minister, was pulled from a pile of particles in Adiyaman after an agonizing 178 hours.
A staff of rescue crew members sporting onerous hats may be seen clamoring upon discovering the kid and carrying her away from the rubble, some shouting “God is nice!”
Miray gave the impression to be crying as she was positioned on a stretcher and brought away by medical personnel.
The rescue gives glimmers of hope in the continuing restoration effort, because the dying toll from the 7.8- and seven.5-magnitude earthquakes that hit southeastern Turkey and northern Syria on Feb. 6 handed 35,000 Monday.
