South African police say they’ve arrested a person for allegedly distributing pornographic pictures with the faces of President Cyril Ramaphosa, Police Minister Bheki Cele and Cele’s spouse superimposed.
The person will seem in courtroom in Pretoria on Tuesday on expenses of contravening the Cyber Crimes Act, which pertains to the illegal accessing or processing of laptop knowledge.
The 34-year-old man, whose title was withheld, distributed the photographs to law enforcement officials and the general public on social media, police mentioned.
Police spokesman Philani Nkwalase advised the TimesLive information web site on Monday that the investigation started in Could when the photographs had been first circulated. The person was traced to the japanese metropolis of Pietermaritzburg, the place he was arrested on Sunday with a tool and used SIM playing cards.
Pornography is authorized in South Africa though its distribution is restricted.
