Starfield is this brand new license signed by Bethesda Softworks, already at the origin of some sagas such as The Elder Scrolls or Fallout. Officialized during E3 2018, Starfield is a first-person space RPG, which claims (since its announcement) GOTY (game of the year)… and by the way arouses the extreme jealousy of PS5 players. Like any good Action-RPG, Starfield promises extensive customization, hours of gameplay and exploration, and no less than 1,000 planets to discover!

A new Bethesda license (and an Xbox/PC exclusive game)
Formalized 5 years ago, Starfield is the first new Bethesda license for 25 years. The game was originally planned for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, but Microsoft’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media in 2020 allowed Starfield to become an Xbox and Windows exclusive. In short, a large cartridge for Microsoft at the end of 2023, which will be followed by a certain Forza Motorsport the following month.

Initially scheduled for November 11, 2022, Starfield was finally postponed (from May of the same year) to the first half of 2023. Last March, Microsoft was able to formalize the final release date of the game, which will therefore be available in November. 6. September… in a few days!

The new game from Bethesda Softworks studios will be available on Xbox series consoles and on PC. No PS5 release planned so this is an Xbox exclusive for home consoles.

Note that if the game is at its best on Xbox Series X, Starfield will also be perfectly playable on the small Xbox Series S. On the eve of the game’s launch, Microsoft will also market a new Xbox Series S, featuring a Carbon Black suit and a new 1TB SSD.

Starfield, what’s the story?
As we said, Starfield is the first new universe in over 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In the year 2330, humanity has ventured beyond our solar system, colonizing new planets and adopting a space lifestyle. The player will join the Constellation, the latest group of space explorers in search of rare artifacts across the galaxy.

Like any good Action-RPG, the game will first ask you to create the character of your dreams, and then launch you into exploring a new world and embark on a journey that promises to be nothing short of epic, with the aim of solving the most great mystery of humanity.
According to Microsoft: “there is no story more important than the one you tell with your character. It is therefore up to the player to discover, collect, travel, build, but also to open fire on some decidedly hostile enemies. Expected departure in a few days.
