Xbox boss Phil Spencer said players will need to play the first few hours Star field before it “explodes in terms of epic scale”.
Star field There are only two weeks left and as Bethesda prepares to launch what is perhaps its most anticipated game of all time, there is still a lot that gamers don’t know about the upcoming sci-fi RPG.
The space adventure game will be massive in scale, with over 1,000 planets to explore in an open galaxy, free space travel, character customization, and a tailored experience based on player choices.
We already know it’s going to be a great game, the biggest ever from Bethesda, but according to Phil Spencer, the start of the game can be a bit slow and players should expect the action to hit after a few hours of play.
“It’s a great game, and I’ll be the first to admit that the first three or four hours are a bit of hunting and pecking, figuring out ‘what am I really doing?’ Then you go on to side missions or something, and the game explodes to an epic scale,” Spencer said in an interview with ign TO Gamescom 2023.
Star field will launch on September 6 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with Early Access starting on September 1 for those who have purchased the Premium or Constellation editions of the game.
It last week it was announced that the game had officially gone gold, so users can pre-load the game right now before its official release. This also applies to those who pre-ordered the game digitally or plan to play it via Xbox Game Pass.
